Hi all,

I have been thinking of getting a Roofrack for my Disco 2 and was wondering who makes the G4 'racks?

Very nice site, wish i could have afforded a G4 as would have loved one.

The D2 racks were made by Safety Devices, but this company went bust, and has started up again, but only making vehicle roll cages, which is what they originally did. The racks do come up for sale on ebay, but are like hen's teeth! Perhaps someone might know of another source???

Try contacting Frogs Island www.frogsisland4x4.com as they did have some SD style roofracks that were identical to the SD racks. They could have been SD ones but worth a call.

It might be cost prohibited to ship or they may already have a distributor in the UK; however, give http://www.roverracks.com/DIIVR.htm a call. They make the best replica DII rack I have seen. They also have a few variants to choose from.

Safety devices emailed me the other day - a few weeks probably to say they are making a one off batch of roof racks, they might just be 110 ones but worth asking.

There's a 'G4 style' rack for sale on Discovery Owners Club Forum

It's the high style so that sunroofs can still operate

Had a look on there and there now is a low rack aswell. But he is asking £800 which at this time of year is just too much to get away with :)
